There's a helicopter up in the air now, and it's showing us pictures of mountains and stuff, but it doesn't know where the peloton is :)

seems so...he certainly did not hurt AV's strategy (that's for sure) as for the reciprocal??

Any way recon AC can cruise D and still have a good shot at podium/win without detriment to TdF chances.

Actually they now had a banner saying 'live image' on the heli shot. So ... maybe there's hope.

Eurosport are now playing motor GP.

They say they will be back later whether or not they can get live pictures.

You can see oil spilling from a pipe 1 mile under the ocean but not a bike race on a mountain. :rolleyes:

Probably a conspiracy, Liguigas getting towed up without anybody seeing..

The point is though that somehow the heli sent the image to ... someplace. Is the airplane still grounded? I'd assume not because where does the heli signal bounce off?

That was part of it, but I in the past few days I saw a quote from Valverde from that time saying he'd help Alberto at the Tour if needed.

This from the AC Press Room 4/23/10:

I've seen a bit and I know that we’ll climb Alpe D'Huez, but Dauphiné is a race that always I do very calm and this year will be equal. There I’ll think on the Tour and I will not speed up my preparation to win the Dauphiné.
