He doesn't want to take a chance and hope BMC don't want the pink?
If he wants pink, the break will have to last until the finish, because I don't believe there are any more intermediate sprints.

edit: what an unfortunate colour pink is, you can't make a decent phrase with it

Stage 3

I think I heard that BMC have lost a rider who did not start today. He was hurt in one of yesterday's crashes. Evan's won't worry about the Pink jersey. He will try to ride in the front of the bunch and stay out of trouble. Team time trial will be on his mind. First important stage for him. I tip Farrar to win again today and take the Pink. Like to see McEwen in the mix also.

To me, Walcheren (the island of which Middelburg is the center) is the most beautiful part of the Netherlands. The Delta Works make me proud. Hoping for some nice pictures, this afternoon.

I just watched the peloton of the Giro d'Italia ride through the streets I walk every day. Pretty surreal, I must say. Go Stammie!

Yes, the Walcheren is indeed beautiful. :) I went up that way last year as I said because I learned that a family member had fought in the War in that area and was buried at Bergen-op-Zoom. The Netherlands is such a modern country - no clearer than when looking at it from the race helicopter yesterday - yet Limburg and Walcheren still look quite rustic with towns like Middelburg and Veere. :)

Yeah that's what I ment, hoping BMC let's it run and the sprinters teams don't start riding quick enough. :)

edit: Moerenthout is @ the Giro as a spectator. :D

Bloody Venus Williams. The Giro coverage was scheduled to start 25 minutes ago (according to my EPG at least).

Not her fault, RAI isn't broadcasting anything yet.

A lot of Cofidis and Lampre in that huge second group.
I'd be surprised if somebody hasn't missed out.
Besides Pozzovivo, that is.........

The first section was 45 mins of highlights of yesterday.
Fair enough. We've still got the tennis (and I got my Williams sister wrong, whoops) here though. It seems to be taking forever.

Giro's on British Eurosport 2. British Eurosport is showing tennis for the next 10 minutes, then an hour of yesterday's GP2 races, and then a repeat of yesterday's World Superbikes.
