Sad story and sad coincidence that Wouter, replacement rider for Bennati (who had a terrible crash, too), crashed heavily today. :eek:

But that really looked even more serious.

Major crash involving Weylandts. He has been airlifted to hospital. camera shots showed cpr being performed on him.

He is still being reanimated (15 minutes now) and they're waiting for the heli to land in the road... They had administered to him adrenaline and atropine. That's as bad as we all get it...

I'm at work and can't watch it. If it's as bad as everyone is saying, they should neutralize the race. There is no reason to keep racing with something that horrific going on.

still receiving cardiac massage according to eurosport.

thats after 20 minutes. doesnt sound at all good.
