tira's injury could be a bad news for vino but a blessing in disguise for berto if he recovers by the tour. i know it's a sinful thought.

Apparently a broken wrist. Bonnafond out too.

They wouldn't take him out on a strecher if it was just a broken wrist. Must be something more going on there.:(

Edit: too late

There are many places where you have to be strapped down on a stretcher if they are moving you by ambulance. Regulations more than an indication of the actual injury sustained.

If there is any chance that the rider has sustained an injury to his spine or head they have to use the stretcher.

BMC very attentive. V good. I am really looking forward to tommorow. It should be an absolute ripper and the gc guys will have to watch and cover some moves.

ACF94 happy as his AFL team won!:)

When he was being moved into the ambulance, I thought that I saw Bonnafond getting in by the side door, so this may not specifically be the case.

5'13 down with 47km to go.

The peleton is going to have to undertake some serious pulling. Lloyd and Bertogliati are not easy riders to close down. Liqui isn't going to seriously pull, since none of their big guys are serious sprinters. Another team who wants the stage will have to give it a go to close them down.

but we beat the swans regardless of what ruckman they had.

Yeah, but your mob won't beat us. You were no match for us in the 2002 and 2003 Grand Finals. Oh the days!

Break will survive.

Bertogliati will win.

The peloton doesn't have much of a reason to care.

If Lloyd wants the win, this is where he needs to drop Bertogliati. In a sprint he's a dead duck.

That was a sweet fort. None of those in the US.

If you like that you'll love tomorrow's finish in Montalcino. A beatiful little town on a hill in the Tuscan countryside. I've actually been there, and it is GORGEOUS. Shame we didn't have more time to wander the city though, since my dad and uncle were far more interested in exploring the city's extensive wine merchants
