This is tearing me apart. Etna v Ajax-Twente....

I cannot decide which to follow. :(

The last 28 years of my life I would've watched Ajax - Twente, but last year cycling passed football by a huge margin for me.

It's the best stream quality wise so I can put up with actually being able to understand what the commentators are saying.

Discussion. If Nibali fails to win Giro this year (probable) will he continue going for the Giro next year or will he try the Tour?

What if he does win.

I wonder about this. Id like to think he would continue going for his home race, especially since together with Basso, hes pretty much the biggest italian star. Hes the one they are hyping up most, Giro is his home race, its where his fans are at, and he might want to conitnue doing it until he wins.

LOL at the gazzetta commentator geography lecture. He's saying that Etna is the highest volcano in Europe because Mt Teide is highest than Etna but it is geographically in Africa. Does he know in which tectonic plate is Sicily?

Ha! Countries litterally arguing over whose **** is bigger.

Tbf thought theyve got a point. Teide is kind of in Africa.

Reminds me though, Vuelta should visit Canary Islands.

I also have a dilemma. Djokovic - Nadal vs Etna

Ive seen the first movie before. Hell they had it last week, and will 90% have a 5 set encounter in 3 weeks. Thats not taking into account all the hard court matches they played in the last few months.

Etna on the other hand is once every 30 years. (well twice every 30 years, kind of)

And now he his pulling on the front of the chase group?

Quite a few sprinters simply don't TRY to do the mountains. Cipo was famous for it. He won the maglia ciclamino at the Giro three times, but never lasted more than a week or so at the Tour or Vuelta cos he'd quit rather than try the mountains.

Savini just pips Fränk to the mountain points.

F Savini (COG) 15 pts
M Fränk (BMC) 10
J Bakelandts (OLO) 6
Y Popovych (RSH) 4
P Lastras García (MOV) 2

No because he always did the Giro full out previously. Plus he's thiner this year, but he has always, for a sprinter, gone well uphill.

It's more because in the earlier Tours Petacchi rode, he was either injured or exhausted after the Giro.

One tour he was injured (bruised ribs), and still managed to win 4 stages while not being able to breathe properly.
Petacchi is one of the best climbers among the sprinters. I think only Hushovd, Freire and Ventoso are better

What did you expect? It's going to be like this til 3km before the finish. Then comes the usual Contador attack. And that's it.

Seriously doubt Contador will be a protagonist today. He'll follow and if there is an opportunity to gain real time without going too deep counterattack. Otherwise he will be content to not lose time to any of the other favorites.

Rubbish, Keenan & whoever is with him is great. Feed looks good too.

That's because Alessandro is a real cyclist, unlike some of these other modern sprinters. Alla Vanderarden.

Ah yes, the "real" Pettachi who constantly pulled out on the first hill climbs of the GTs?

I know but considering that Djoker is our national hero, rest of my family will probably want to watch tennis.

I submit José Joaquín Rojas for your consideration. And Danilo "mountain breaks in both the Giro and Tour" Hondo.

Anyone has a live feed for Sporza? I can't get it to work on the sporza website or haven't they started yet?
