why is he not in the list of last winners?

Why the fcuk is Alberto riding this:confused:

My mistake (Di Luca).

The riders mentioned to line-up are from organisation´s website, no guarantee they´re really up-to-date.

link please.

Brutal line up.

Atapuma to take a solo win.

Only rider I deleted myself is Andy Schleck, heard he´ll be to see his psychiatrist at 11:00 at Thursday instead of racing in Italy... :p

And concerning line ups, yes, these early Italian 1.1 races benefited a lot this year, by being moved (Camaiore, Lazio-Maxima, Nobili) - though I don´t like these moves; no one would move Omloop HN to August or San Sebastian to April, for example. I see, however, they often have problems nowadays to even keep their races alive, as good as possible, in Italy and Spain.

Thanks for the link.

I like a bit of movement, but not if it includes Omloop. Must be part of early spring cobbles package imo.

I also noticed it on procyclingstats.com a while ago. I don't think it's smart.

Don´t know if he does Catalunya. If yes , it´s not smart.

If Pais Vasco is next, it might be OK.

Next is Criterium International and then Pais Vasco. Think he might need some rest after this Tirreno

Ah, OK. Then this makes 8 days of rest between Nobili and CI.

Given he´s peaking for the Tour, he already rides a lot, maybe to compensate the lack of race in 2012. But it´s still a lot. Others do Algarve, Paris-Nice, Pais Vasco, Romandie, Dauphine, and that´s all.

he needs to ride, i think he is still lacking racing fitness and only racing km's can get that back.

Though GP Nobili and CI are 1 and 2 days respectively so he won't have that much race days. He'll have a break from Pais Vasco to Dauphiné

 That´s long, this makes eight weeks. Skipping Ardennes might be good, but Romandie is normally an important race towards the Tour.

He hasn't done Romandie since 2006. Every year he races in April (Pais Vasco or CyL) and then sometimes FW and LBL and then Dauphiné

Yes, maybe, but I don't think he'll do it since he said that it was impossible for him to aim for stage races and also do well in classics

Weird. CQ shows the last 3 winners as
Di Luca
Viviani
Gatto

PCS has
Di Luca
Ponzi
Gatto

and, adding Di Luca for 2012, this thread has
Di Luca
Ponzi
Brambilla
