he needs to ride, i think he is still lacking racing fitness and only racing km's can get that back.
Hmm. He already has a lot of racing kilometers this year, and it doesn't seem to help much. I think he rather might be a little overtrained at the moment. Perhaps he needs a little break.

Weird. CQ shows the last 3 winners as
Di Luca
Viviani
Gatto

PCS has
Di Luca
Ponzi
Gatto

and, adding Di Luca for 2012, this thread has
Di Luca
Ponzi
Brambilla

I figured it out. In 2010 and 2011, they divided Nobili Rubinetterie into two "challenges", the Coppa Papà Carlo and Coppa Città di Stresa. Brambilla and Ponzi won the former and Viviani and Gatto the latter.

In 2012, they did only one race on the Città di Stresa course, which Di Luca won. This year they are doing one race on the Papà Carlo course.

Good detective work jaylew, certainly better than my shoddy effort

Not really strong enough to make an impact:

18K to go Jungels is on the front solo, 4 new chasers from the peloton Rebellin, Rubiano, Chiarini and Pantano but they are at 3.20. The other original escapees are still somewhere in between (at least Avila and Haller are)

GPNobili Now, @edwinavila189 has actually been reeled in by the chasing group including @jarlinsonpantan

That means Haller is also reeled in as he was behind Avila.

Luxembourg might be in the process of losing one star, but they certainly have another one in the making! What a talent.

Well done. As a neo pro, he gets his chance in exactly these kind of races, and he did the best of it. Always a relief, this first pro win, now his season is already good, and might get even better.

It seems the peloton read your post ;)

Nicely done by Jungels. The real talents win straightaway.
