So I love speculation!
Here is my top 10:
1 Froome
2 Dumoulin
3 Quintana
4 Porte
5 Nibali
6 Contador
7 Aru
8 Chaves
9 Bardet
10 Pinot
#Giro100

1 Goes without saying,
2 Dumoulin especially as I can only see him improving!
3 Hasn't been at his best for the last few major GTs
4 Would have finished 2nd at last years Tour was it not for 2 punctures which lost him over 2 mins
5 Nibles rode one of his best GTs for a while but he hasn't improved in last 3 years.
6 Contador on his day without injury or illness can still do it imo
7 Despite last year's TDF in 2014, & 2015 he was class
8 Same with Chaves, in2016 he finished behind Nibali, Quintana and Froome.
9 2nd last year's Tour
10 From this giro ride.

Honorable mentions: Yates was in my Top10 before the race but he wasn't as good as last years Tour. Zakarin is just outside for my money, same with Valverde, Kruijwijck could be top 10 if he can regain 2016 form!

Agree, disagree? Let's hear your top 10!

Nibali ahead of contador... what a joke... tom in second is a joke as well. Quintana wasn't near his best in this giro.
Froome
Quintana
Contador
Dumoulin
Nibali
I don't get the porte's hype train. I will be very happy when he crack somewhere in the tour

Eventhough Dumoulin won I would still put Quintana ahead of him because Quintana is a multiple GT winner and is clearly much stronger than he was in this Giro when in a good form (and Dumoulins form was phenomenal in this GT/much better compared to Quintana).

My power rankings would be:
1. Froome
2. Quintana
3. Contador
4. Nibali
5. Dumoulin (if he is as strong as he was in this Giro then I could put him higher)
6. Porte
7. Valverde
8. Aru
9. Bardet
10. Thomas

I think that his TT abilities and good enough climbing is enough to keep him in contention (not for a win but a very good place). I think that he would've finished ahead of Pinot for example.

Horrible ranking
I don't like these 'power rankings' in any sport. I've seen them a lot in football and they seem so commercial and (not to be offensive) quite american and franchised.

Americans do seem to love them...

It's clickbait. It's google-ads revenue. And it works.

Nibali has 1 GT win and 1 podium in the last year, Contador has 1 top-5. I placed Contador 5th just because of his pedigree and 1-week stage race performances. Purely based on GT performance he should be lower. Up to him to prove in July he still has it.

It's not easy. Based on what I've seen in the past couple of years I'd say

Froome
Quintana
Nibali
Contador
Dumoulin
Chaves
Valverde
Bardet
Pinot
Aru

Well the issue here is are we talking about

1) Power ranking by already achieved results
2) Ranking by if we started a GT right now with every single contender in it where would they expect to finish

Because the lists are obviously different. (Porte being the big shifter)

1. Froome
2. Quintana
3. Contador
4. Valverde
5,6. Nibali, Porte
7. Dumoulin
8,9. Pinot,Aru
10. Mollema

I think Porte has done enough in last years Tour to justify his position
