Has the Garmin Diet from 2008 worked ?

so after reading Garmin changing their diet from pasta to rice and and rice pasta back in 2008, has it worked ?

Has Rice Pasta become the norm now vs whole wheat pasta ?

Anyone know if other pro teams are eating like this ?

thx

Rice is much quicker and easier to digest than some pasta you can try gluten free I know a lot of top riders who live gluten free when training .
When you are trying to shovel down 5000 caleries a day it makes sence
Rice is gluten free as is some pasta and some breakfast cerials Rice is a higher GI rating to pasta.

Some people have low-level difficutly digesting wheat products (due to the gluten).
The symptoms may be minor, but changing to a gluten-free diet is an improvement for them.

Changing to rice instead of wheat products is a usual way to supply carbs in the diet.
Potato, beans, and corn are also common.
For cooking rice, the micro-wave is great - they usually have a 'rice setting'.
Be sure to use a large bowel, and you will have to do minor tinkering with the amount of water:rice to get best results.
Using 'instant rice' is not necessary, and spend a little more on the regular rice instead of the 'cheap stuff' - it does taste better.

A supermarket here carries a line of 'rice pasta' (brand is a Japanese name) that has an acceptable pasta texture and taste.
Look for the 'gluten-free' section in the store.

There is a serious gluten intolerance condition caledd celiac disease, for info about that see -

More and more riders are looking for doping free edge. Thats why we are seeing more and more riders switching to low fat, high carb plant based diets.

Look at all the riders using soy/rice milk vs bovine milk.

Heck a long time vegetarian just got 3rd at Paris Roubaix! A team wouldnt even have taken him 20 years ago.
