Has WADA gone too far in the Hamilton case?

maybe i'll be the first to say no. when you have a guy like tyler hamilton that's confirmed everyone's worst suspicions about professional cycling again and again, you have every right to try and keep him as far away from your sport as possible for as long as possible. when you mess up that many times i don't have a lot of sympathy.

though i do agree it's largely grandstanding. homeboy ain't coming back at 45.

It might send a message to Masters racers that think they can escape scrutiny.
Having said that, WADA seems to seize on every high-profile case to inflate their importance.

Does anyone think that Tyler Hamilton may be the one that will drop the cherry bomb in the toilet in this thing if he comes out with the rumored book? I thinks it's a good possibility that he'll be the one to splatter a 7 time legend's life all over the crap house. He knows some stuff--a lot of stuff. Could it happen when he gets his head straight and begins to seek redemption?

And that would get published how?

He will wait until his Olympic medal is safe. I am not sure if that is eight or ten years, so it would be 2012 or 2014.

Over the next ten or so years, the information will leak out. There will be retrospectives on the era, and by that time longtime retired riders who have moved on to the next phase in their life will drop all sorts of stories about the zany doping that was going on, much like old soldiers tell war stories. We will get all sorts of interesting tidbits about why certain teams and riders had bad days because of screw-ups with their dope supplies.

I recently met and discussed various issues with Tyler.
Nice guy.
You folks would be surprised.
Actually a very impressive human being.

There isn't a cast iron rule that all dopers are *******s.

Nice guys cheat too.

Lance, however, is both a doper and a *******.

The same way Canseco's books get published. He's as guilty as anybody but much of what he has claimed has been proven over time. Either way, I don't think we've heard the last from Tyler Hamilton.
