Turns out, Vingegaard is not the only trendsetter around:

I'm sure this has been covered before, but can any native Dane explain how to pronounce Mads?

Rob Hatch makes a point of pronouncing it "Mass" but frankly, I don't trust him. He also pronounced Bjerg as BYELL which I'm not convinced it correct either!

Not a native Dane but I rewatched last year‘s RVV with the Danish commentary and I think it‘s closer to Mess than Mass actually. Those Danes are weird.

we definitely are weird and our language is crazy compared to anything other than Suomi or Basque.
But it is an "a" sound, but not like mass, as 3 x Buddy points out it's more like the "a" in Jazz.

So, apparently the tape on his wrist the last few races wasn't because of the fracture - wrong wrist even.
Turns out, he had another crash (during training) and was really close to just packing his suitcase, and go home.

Amazing and unexpectedly great and fast comeback. Top Five in both Milano-Sanremo and Ronde van Vlanderen. I did not expect that a month ago. Just a shame that we didn´t see him at 100% in these two races, but I think that in Paris-Roubaix he will be close to his best again and if eveerything plays out in the right way, he does have a chance of winning or at least to go on the podium.

It looks like Mads has been reading the forum. In a recent interview he said that he doesn't want to ride like he's been used to. He doesn't want to participate in the power games of Pogi and Van der Poel and that he doesn't care if they all hate him for not having taken his pulls if he wins tomorrow.

Good to hear, let's see if he can really commit to this. Flanders was already a good sign.

PR is actually the only race where he can work with them (probably work less) and not get dropped... he should be doing that in E3 and Ronde.

I think with his shape of this year, he will hardly be able to follow if he doesn‘t work either, so he definitely shouldn‘t work. I think it‘s more likely than not he gets dropped last year as well by working, he‘s definitely no Van der Poel

I'm not sure he'd have gotten dropped last year, he was in incredible form and looking very strong (stronger than Pogacar) until the puncture. Maybe eventually, but not before the final 15km imo
