Amazing comeback from injury. Looks well for the Cobbled Classsics.
Turns out, Vingegaard is not the only trendsetter around:

Neither is Mads, since all riders prefer to look like crime scene cleaners when training indoors these days.
Wait, what?
Definitely the first time I've seen a photo like that.
The cap is definitely the "dot over the i", though.
Not a native Dane but I rewatched last year‘s RVV with the Danish commentary and I think it‘s closer to Mess than Mass actually. Those Danes are weird.I'm sure this has been covered before, but can any native Dane explain how to pronounce Mads?
Rob Hatch makes a point of pronouncing it "Mass" but frankly, I don't trust him. He also pronounced Bjerg as BYELL which I'm not convinced it correct either!
we definitely are weird and our language is crazy compared to anything other than Suomi or Basque. Not a native Dane but I rewatched last year‘s RVV with the Danish commentary and I think it‘s closer to Mess than Mass actually. Those Danes are weird.
PR is actually the only race where he can work with them (probably work less) and not get dropped... he should be doing that in E3 and Ronde. It looks like Mads has been reading the forum. In a recent interview he said that he doesn't want to ride like he's been used to. He doesn't want to participate in the power games of Pogi and Van der Poel and that he doesn't care if they all hate him for not having taken his pulls if he wins tomorrow.
Good to hear, let's see if he can really commit to this. Flanders was already a good sign.
I think with his shape of this year, he will hardly be able to follow if he doesn‘t work either, so he definitely shouldn‘t work. I think it‘s more likely than not he gets dropped last year as well by working, he‘s definitely no Van der PoelPR is actually the only race where he can work with them (probably work less) and not get dropped... he should be doing that in E3 and Ronde.
I'm not sure he'd have gotten dropped last year, he was in incredible form and looking very strong (stronger than Pogacar) until the puncture. Maybe eventually, but not before the final 15km imoI think with his shape of this year, he will hardly be able to follow if he doesn‘t work either, so he definitely shouldn‘t work. Why would anyone react with a sad emoji on this?It looks like Mads has been reading the forum. In a recent interview he said that he doesn't want to ride like he's been used to. There is nothing wrong with this shape, it's explosiveness he's lost, because he could't grab the handlebars for a long time.I think with his shape of this year, he will hardly be able to follow if he doesn‘t work either, so he definitely shouldn‘t work. But possibly the race where arm joints are more important than any other: how thoroughly recovered are those wrists?PR is the race where explosiveness is not that important.
Absolutely. That will be his main problem, those hard cobbles are super violent. But possibly the race where arm joints are more important than any other: how thoroughly recovered are those wrists?
