I was admiring my bike on the back of my car in the rear view mirror and nearly rear ended someone

For me it is completely normal to store my bikes in my bedroom, the roadbike behind the headboard and the MTB hangs from the wall. But any time someone visits, they point out that it is strange or funny to keep bikes inside the apartment instead of the basement or chained to a post.
I don't try to make a point of keeping the bikes in my bedroom, it was just the natural thing to do. For me it is totally weird that someone would find it weird.

hahahah rear hitch rack. my tallboy was looking fine back there. damn.

What! I would never leave my bike out in the elements as I drive out on I-5 or worse a country road where it would get bug guts on it. I have my bike in its protective bike bag in the trunk away from prying eyes and fingers and of the discount variety as well, same for the wheels, before I paid for my car I made sure the bike fit in the trunk, no way is my baby riding outside. You may as well chain it up to the fence post if you mount it in the back on a rack!

....got up in the middle of the night just to sit in the garage and look at your new bike?

I can't be the only one! Or is this a disease?

I keep my bike three feet from my bed so I can see it if I wake up in the middle of the night.
