One point i would like to make in this thread is that when people write "evens" there are always complaints "you cant spell Cadel Evans". But yet everyone is content to call Wiggins, Wigans which is a bit of a insult.

Still not as bad as Pettachi, Rebbelin, Betinni, Cicchi, Benatti, Pozzatto and Zannoti

Also known as the Italian surname spelling disease which affected, and still affects, cycling newsreporters and cycling forum posters around the world
I shoot those people everytime.

For further reference, the correct spelling is Petacchi, Rebellin, Chicchi, Bennati, Pozzato and Zanotti.

THe point is Evens and Wiggins are both delibrate. Your list on the other hand is of accidental spelling mistakes. Hell i make them all the time.

Its intended to be an insult, though somewhat lighthearted. He made the Wigan/Man U comparison, so maybe he should have chosen a team like Blackburn or Newcastle when he slagged off Garmin? He chose a team that sounds very much like his name (well, part of his name), and well, the rest is history.

Ah, didnt know it was a joke about the Wigan comment. Thought people misspelt his name because I remember a poll where the Op whoever it was took the care to spell everyones name to perfection but just called Wiggins "Wigans".

According to him the reason he chose Wigan was because when he said it, Wigan had just beaten a respectable team and he wanted to imply that Garmin were goodish, just not as great as Sky.

Me neither. Just trying to establish why you need to post such childish drivel.

Hey TeamSkyFans Why won't Wiggo wear the National Champs jersey when he wins the TT? Any idea?
He is too ashamed to wear a national championship jersey on the podium of which is a paathetic excuse of a cycling nation.:D

*Sorry Charlie, but you defended (subtly maybe, but defended none the less) Douchey McHairdoo. http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showpost.php?p=359959&postcount=34

Just in case you were wondering, I can walk you through the process of why it is a defense if you want. Before doing that, please identify the subject of your sentence. Its all I need to prove sufficiency.

On the recommendation of several other moderators I am going to close this thread for a while now. Will consider re-opening it later on if it can be determined that it serves any purpose other than trolling.
