That was a pretty weak chase from the bunch, Schmid did it so easily in the end and it didn't need to be so.

Gotta say it was a stealthy and successful move by Schmid who was wasted at the TDU. The worry is Red Bull. Nor Pithie or Finn Fisher Black would ride for each other.

Just terrible race management from Red Bull, they had such a simple formula to work with.

I also couldn’t help but laugh at Romo doing the Movistar jersey proud and actively breaking up the chase for absolutely no reason.

You should have sent me some smoke signals, I wasn't sure which thread to post in re: Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race so I posted in the less known races thread. (I had posted a map and stage profile there earlier and asked where to post regarding the Cadel race...)

I was watching for the first two hours but then I dozed off. So now I have to catch up on what happened for the rest of the race.

Racing in 40C is brutal especially knowing most of these riders have come from the European winter. I imagine they drank huge quantities of water during the race.
