I made it a toss-up between him and Kennaugh for that spot and I think Kennaugh could have leadership if only because he's a better climber in general (but will probably prove to be wrong).
I think it's already confirmed that they are riding for McCarthy since he seems to be in-shape and it's his home race. Even Sagan is going to become a super-domestique in support of him.

That said, shorter hills like WH seems to be Kennaugh's thing. He could do well in a race like this.

With all seriousness, Isn't this year start list even weaker than ever before? Really, all I see is the little midget and a few Aussies but no “real” contenders.

Perhaps the mandatory vacation is getting old ...

Perhaps your constant complaining about this race is getting old. :) If you don't wanna watch the race, don't! I'm not gonna tie you to a chair and force your eyes open...

Correct, Sagan will be working for McCarthy. He will lead him up th OWH until he can no longer follow, then, he will drop TLMRP and everyone else to take the win and the GC. :D

Yeah. McCarthy deserves a chance to lead the team but I would have loved to see Sagan in action on OWH. I even think he could win it if Porte wasn't there.

Nah. Too hard for Sagan. There’s other climbers here beside Porte. If the climbers really race, Sagan would be dropped.

*Looking at the startlist*
'What the **** is "Groupama"? Oh... I'll never get used to this!'

more rubbish from cyclingnews.com.
Groupama-FDJ is NOT the new name of Equipe FDJ until March 4th.
anyway, you know where to look for startlists, etc
I think you'lll find that 97 Axel Domont will turn out to be 97 DENZ Nico

Yeah but only by a few. I don't see him as any worse than Haas or McCarthy if he decided to go for GC. He'd definitely top 10 the stage.

Pretty hot conditions coming up in Adelaide and possibly hotter out of the city. Starting at 31C on Tuesday, then climbing Wed to mid 30's, 41 on Thursdsay and then stormy, unsettled warm to hot conditions for the remaining two days. The weather will really impact those who aren't acclimatized. Winds are showing as moderate most of the week but I would expect the northerlies to increase during the day when it climbs to 41C. .
