What can we expect from LVE. Is he planning on starting the season in decent shape or really building up towards spring?

He's been completely painfree since beginning of November and has been training since so should be fine. He asked himself to race as early as possible. But it's kinda shocking how long he's been not 100% fit (Catalunya last year was his last completely fit race), so we'll have to wait and see I guess.

Unfortunately a weak Nats with Stannard, Scotson, Haig, both Hamilton's, Sweeney, Fox, Schultz, Drizners and Tuckwell electing not to race there despite riding the TDU.

Expect Jayco to control the race with someone (probably Durbridge or O'Brien) in the break

Cant have Durbridge winning again. Plapp gifting the win to Durbridge was my most disappointing part of the 2025 season.

Yes we can, it was great to see Durbridge getting the win
On the other hand, it's also nice to see the jersey in action near the front of races in Europe. That has a been a great side effect of Plapp having it. With the rather anonymous riders who often wins the green and gold, it's usually not seen very much.

Durbridge was off the front a long time. He deserved the win, I don't know anyone disappointed apart from you.
If Plapp did not escape from the peleton and carry Durbridge through the last lap then Durbridge would have been caught. I'll also pose the question in the previous year when Plapp and Harper rode together at the front. Why did he not gift the championship to Harper, especially, seeing Harper had never won a championship, while Durbridge had previously won a championship.

So? He did bridge the gap. He handed Durbridge the win. The difference is that Durbridge was off the front without Plapp for a long time before Plapp bridged across, Plapp nursed Harper for basically the entire time they were off the front to guarantee a Jayco 1/2. Harper told Plapp to win it. Plapp told Durbridge to win it.

Again, you're the only one I've seen disappointed about the fact Durbridge won last year. You can come up with whatever reason why but you're the only one.

I like to see the strongest rider win ( which we know doesn't always happen ) and Plapp was the strongest in 2025. The fact is that no other rider could go with Plapp when he made his move from the peleton. Anyway, the riders received their roles last week for this years edition and O'Connor is the chosen one if he is strong enough. Finally, hoping the women's race is better than the farcical edition in 2025. Liv Alula Jayco will need to ride smart to win this edition.

Will Holmes wins the under 23 ITT in a minor surprise for Jayco's development team. He needs to step it up to go to the WT in 2027.

Plapp having a terrible ride during the Aussie summer, the world must be ending.

Did he crash or have a mechanical? He is now being coached in-house, instead of having his own coach, so maybe that made a differnce. i was impressed with the ride of Bleddyn who was part of the track gold in the teams 4000m at the Paris Olympics.

That's quite fast for a 40km ITT with 380m of altitude
