I suspect it will come down to a sprint of 20 or 30 riders. I dont see anyone strong enough to break up the race.

Clarke at the back?
Doesn't have the leg? Or did he just decide that "Okay, kids, you have your fun. I'll just sit here at the back, waving at people."?

EF bib 111 Leonard has been at the very back of the bunch for a while.
That can't be good for a guy with the 1

He was racing for Donnenwirth.

Lund Andresen rode smarter than Brennan throughout the race and the finale. That’s what made the difference between 1st and 2nd.
But why do that, when your guy is litterally at the back of the group? I think he just wanted to matter, since his own chances were gone. Donnenwirth didn't even crack the top10.

I think he did it to avoid the peloton coming back.

For a guy like Donnenwirth, better chance to make a result in a 20-men group than in a bigger bunch.

Nice Toby! He can thank Groupama for the way they rode. Good to see the French teams helping each other.

Brennan was by far the strongest in this race and he will be rueing his decisions in the final. For unexplained reasons he attacked the peleton of 20 with 5kms to go and then in the sprint he confused the 200m and 300m signs. That's one that got away.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Decathlon performs. They've only raced in Australia with a secondary team.

It's a shame about Kooij's illness. If they're winning with their second sprinter, it feels like Kooij would dominated.

And above all, I want to see how Seixas performs.
