I think 4 or 5, depending on whether he goes for Giro + Vuelta at some point in the future.

I expect him to focus on the Tour this year and 2014, then try to win the other two during 2015 before returning to take a 3rd Tour in 2016.

If he wins the Tour next year he will certainly return to defend his title. 'Specially if he wins this year too.

I'd rather see him spread it out among other GTs, but the top Anglophone GC champions tend to focus myopically on the Tour, so... yeah. I can see him pulling down two, maybe three Tours w/out focusing on the Giro or the Vuelta.

Could probably win more GTs if he did occasionally focus on the other races, but that'd be fewer yellow jerseys, so I think it's unlikely.

Kinda off-topic, but: is Quintana really going to be as good as many of you are saying in here?

Sorry, but what a strange question for the poll. Do you really think there are Nostradamus like folks hanging around this forum? Hilarious!

Of course noone knows for certain, but a large part of any type of forum like this is speculation anyway. Judging by the poll 3 seems to be a popular choice. We'll see in 10 years time for sure who was right ;)

Yes, Quintana will dominate the sport. He will become the Pantani of this generation with the palmares of Merckx or Hinault.

All joking aside though, I really do believe Quintana is more than capable of becoming one of the best GT riders in the world. Impossible to know for sure what exactly he will do and what will become of him of course. But as of right now everything he's done so far indicates he has the potential to win multiple GT's and other races throughout his career.

1 (this year), none next year because Johan & Trek will buy out his contract to support Horner's attempt at a triple. It's all about finances. Then on BMC he will ride in support of TVG & Evans for a year. Then he will finally get another chance as team leader with Garmin but much to the dismay of JV those darned pesky chiggers will be back gnawing on his guts and he will never be the same again.

This is a very interesting question. What marks him out from Wiggins, apart from being a better climber, his is age. The struggle with Contador will last for many years and I can see him at least having 4 Tdf titles, perhaps 9 GTs overall.

1/2.

Nibali, Quintana, Pinot, Van Garderen, Talansky... will beat him every year.

In a montainous route by Quintana and others like Pinot or the colombians. All could climb better than him.

In a TT route by Van Garderen, Talansky, even Kwiatkowski and Dennis if they continue improving. All except the polish TT better than him.

Any young fan always hung up on young riders. Is it a consistent pattern? :) Seriously they should prove many many things to come to Froomester's level. And growing itself wont decide this mission. Only constant progress

Honestly, I'd set a ban for obsessive hostility to great cyclists. It's a serious forum, not a sandbox where kids shout 'gimme this toy and take that one!!!".

Maybe your just trolling but Nibali, Pinot and TVG to beat him every year? In a 3 week GT I very much doubt it. All 3 would struggle in the high mountains against Froome. Quintana maybe could beat him but we don't know yet.

So write he's going to win more than 7 GT's is serious?

Pinot and Quintana can climb like him with only 22 years. If they can progrees a bit for sure will beat Froome in montainous routes.

Van Garderen and Talansky has more TT potential by far. Still young guys... in TT routes can beat Froome if they are able to improve a little bit in the mountains.

Nibali and the colombians can do it as well in the Giro de Italia or Vuelta a España.

Froome hasnt prove anything yet for think he is invincible or a future dominator.

The thing is expectations from progress don't often coincide with real progress. Young age is big hopes, but they need to go a long away to be equal to Froome.

Foolme grow curve lagged behind normal people. Althougt 28, he just improve like a 20 young rider. Still have 8 years to his peak. His professional life may be till his 42.

With his super- natural talent, he could win 2 GTs per year on average for coming 16 years. Then 32 GT win is possible.

I would say 32 is a low estimate for a guy who managed to wear a leader jersey in a GT for one day and further on never won single GT in his life, nor had to lead one.
