2007 Tour was comical, quite frankly. That Contador/Rasmussen battle on the Peyresourde was fun though.

Yep hip problem.
Signed with a local team after Sky, then stopped riding entirely.

I think he and his brother run a bike shop now.
Always a shame when a career is cut short by an injury.

Further update from his twitter.
He is back on bikes, just did a 5 hour mountain bike ride.
Hip doing much better, but severely lacking in fitness from his best.
