Form would say Nibali, Pinot, Uran, A Yates and Dan Martin ( I know but today at 53 seconds was a practise run).Poels, Quintana, Allphillipe, Visconti ,Moscon,Rosa & Ullissi ...pedigree would also throw Gilbert into the mix along with the climbing ability of Landa

But I think sunweb are keeping their powder dry and the mass DNFs today is Kelderman, Barguill & Dumoulin is just waiting for Saturday to pounce

Nibali is the favorite in my opinion. I don't see anyone dropping him but I can imagine him dropping everyone on the ascent to Civiglio and even if he doesn't he could once again drop guys like pinot on the descent. Only problem for him is that he doesn't have a great sprint, although he could still beat guys like Quintana in a one on one on the finish line.

Imo Uran is the 2nd biggest favorite and behind him I'm not sure. There are just too many contenders with a decent chance to point out only one. I wouldn't put Gilbert on the list of favorites though. This route is way too mountainous for him.

Visconti, Ulissi, Gaudu, Poels, Landa, Quintana, Alaphilippe, Martin, Bernal, outsiders.

Your post just reminded me that Landa was racing today.

DNF, I'm not super optimistic.

What about Rosa? Finished second last year, and nobody's talking about him. No chance at all?
Nibali is my favourite. Hoping for an attractive race with some daring to attack from far out (e.g. Wellens).

Rosa has been doing dom duties in all races in Italy this fall. Have no idea who will be Sky's leader. The favorites are Lo Squalo, Duran Duran and Tibopino.
