I don't think he got dropped because he knew he would get back on the descent, but he certainly didn't kill himself trying to follow knowing he could get back this easily.

I was replying to Maltiv that said Costa looked at the profile and knew it would all come back together so didn't go all out following.

I also think that if he could follow he would follow, i just think that knowing it would most likely come back at the bottom he probably didn't went into the red limiting the loss.

But yes it doesn't bode well for him to get dropped as soon as he was.
