Anyone else racing here that was rejected from being on the Tour team? I'm thinking I might put some money on them for the coming stages. :D

CAS has been ill during spring for a long time.
Lately also during Dauphine, which he left after stage one or two.
This was the reason he was not ready (and therefore not selected) for the Tour. ;)
Regarding Majka: As far as I know, the ToA is a first build-up race after his post-Giro break.

But you are right: if you think of TST, one could expect more.
Obviously I wasn't criticizing Majka considering he's back from the Giro; also he's probably riding to get some good WT points in Poland (specially because of the Trentino stages).

About CAS, I didn't realize he's having such a bad year. Hopefully he can build some shape now to do well in Poland, Vuelta and perhaps Worlds.

Lately my favourite riders are winning a lot: Bakelandts, Hushovd, Seeldrayers. Velasco, you're next :D

Zoidl still in a good position, but can he move up to 2nd by beating Dyachenko in the TT later in the week? Not sure.

Anyway stage 4 is a typical Prudhomme design:

Hochtor gotta be raced wildly to get anything going, otherwise GvA FTW.

I don't really know how strong Zoidl is timetrialling as well, but isn't it more Seeldraeyers who has got to fear Dyachenko?! Not sure if he can take 43 seconds but I would definitely rate him higher than Seeldraeyers

Would have been a good stage for Zoidl to steal some seconds with the bonifications, but apart from Kvasina his team sucks.

Zoidl was 14th in the worlds last year and is fully, ahem, prepared for this race.

Hochtor is 50+ minutes of climbing. At normal rate Ignatyev would be 10 minutes behind at the top

4 BRUTT Pavel Katusha Team 7 7 0:54 50.559
5 BARTA Jan Team Netapp 6 4 ,, ,,
6 KING Benjamin RadioShack - Nissan 5 3 0:58 50.442
7 BODROGI Laszlo Team Type 1 - SANOFI 4 2 ,, ,,
8 IRIZAR ARANBURU Markel RadioShack - Nissan 2 1 1:00 50.383
9 VISCONTI Giovanni Movistar Team 1:02 50.325
10 VAN KEIRSBULCK Guillaume Omega Pharma - Quick-Step 1:10 50.092

Yeah, it should be close between Zoidl and Dyachenko. But maybe Zoidl can grab a few seconds tomorrow (unlikely as the last climb is too easy) and on Sonntagberg

yea, it was more a joke since nobody wanted to go with the guy on today's stage.

I know. I also hope that it will be a more significant break. Doubt that anyone can do a Fuglsang this year though.

...............and after this result and the BMC performance in the TTT in Nice today, I bet BMC management might be wishing he was in France too. How many Tour TTTs has Hushovd been in the winning team?

Astana should just set a fierce tempo on Grossglockner and then their top3 can just TTT off into the sunset. More likely to attack each other though
