This.:D Great comment!

Yes that is a good one. The Sad thing is that Sastre gave a perfect demonstration of how an attack is done and they still have yet to figure that out. If Andy ever learns this, he will win the Tour.

For now, maybe he should put a mirror on his helmet. His chiropractor bills have got to be expensive.

I think that was their reaction to when Horner said that The Tour of California is almost like the Tour de France.

Horner might want to remind Andy that he's actually won a stage race. And a worthwhile one too.

Weve only got about 10 days to make the most of that joke.

LMAO ... good one.

Andy = fail. Perhaps we will see some more "winning" strategies from him.

And JB is just plugging the same line as last year. Time will tell if he can pull it off. :p

Andy was announced before he'll make his debut at Mallorca but since Cadel and Alberto were announced too he skip Mallorca and goes to Oman. ¿Is he always trying to avoid his rivals before the Tour? I guess is because of the powerful marketing heart of his team. Not so good hyping a parade while Cadel or Alberto are in the podium. He repeats the same pattern from last year, the reason of the criticism.

Bruyneel 2010: avoid giving away the money match for free. That's why Lance kept bouncing from events Contador was running then (until Contador bounced to the same event at CritInt).

I never realized Bruyneel was a wrestling promoter

Vince McMahon is probably an icon to him. And the amount of drugs that have gone on under his control can't be too far off McMahon level either.

Funnily enough, I have compared Brunyeel (or rather Andy Schleck speaking with Jb's backing) to Eric Bischoff before.

Vince McMahon is a great man. Eric Bishoff was always deliberately a **** which is what Brunyeel is.

He prided himself on causing people to lose their jobs (not just in kafeybe but also in real life), using cheap methods to get ahead and also for having no respect for tradition, and even released this bookdefending the whole idea of being a **** to make money.

Thankfully Bishoff and his promotion ended up losing the wars to Vince. Lets hope JB loses the war to Riis.

how is his book? I've heard bischoffs book is really good and that he actually really puts much of the blame on himself for having failed wcw. I read every wrestling autobiography I can get my hands on. the most fascinating business there is I suppose although I don;t watch it anymore

but mcmahon is not a great man. he rewrites history and banns everything from it that hasn't been created by him. what he did to ecw is nothing short of a crime and the docu's there are full of lies by him and his cronies

You're joking, right? McMahon is a smarter Bischoff clone with even less scruples.

Ok yeah I was joking, kind of.

I have always admired him. The way his entire life revolves around the company. 7 days a week 52 weeks a year for 3 decades, hes always with his company, always making the decisions often at the heart of storylines and if not hes organising them. Doesnt care if he gets hurt in the proccess.
It is possibly the most difficult sport in the world and for a 50, then 60 year old businessman to go 20 minute matches with Hulk Hogan, including jumping off ladders, its quite impressive.

And I do like some of the charity work they do. Few ceo's would send their companies into Afghanistan ( and go with them) to live among, hand out merchandise and provide free entertainment to servicemen and women as they spend Christmas without their families.
Vince has been doing that every year for a decade. Its more than just throwing money at charities.

How many other business men do that?

But yeah I was joking when I said Great man. There are some dark sides to him as well such as effectively pimping out his daughter, some of the crude storylines, and probably some unfair business tactics, as well as maybe partially responsible for the death of Owen Hart, or for those dying due to steroids. Or as Ryo points out the way he treated WCW.

I dont know I havent read it but Ive read vaguely what its about, and I was still watching wwe when Bishoff came to promote it.

I dont read wrestling books but I agree its the most fascinating business.

Wrestling uses all the story lines that one sees in all the films and books in the world. Simplifies it too. Face, heel, face heel turn, heel face turn. Because its all in the ring without background music and special effects and 10 takes at every shot, you see through it more clearly.

After watching wwe for a year, one can easily see every twist and shock and storyline in any movie or sitcom, coming from a mile away.

if you want the most brilliant wrestling storyliens in my mind check ecw of mid 90s. especially the stuff done with raven is incredible. also the anti hardcore promo;'s of cactus jack/mick foley in ecw I say are the best I';ve ever seen

- And right here he has already lost the 2012 Tour. Can you imagine Contador or Cadel saying this?

- Where's Lance? Is he beating this boy across the back of the head for making such admissions?
