Footen haters must end this. They've never tested positive, and the message that you can ride looking like a dustman/refuse collector and still be competetive, is a source of hope for all dowdy looking cycle riders the world over etc etc etc..

I even know how many stages I have to do. Well, in theory I’m here for ten stages but if I get tired before, I’m free to go home earlier and if I feel like doing one or two more, I can as well. I have no idea how I’ll go. I’ve never ridden my bike for more than 200 kilometres for two days in a row.
- Fabio Felline

Honestly ?! I think it's actually irresponsible of Footon to send a rider like that to the Tour. I wonder if he'll even be able to make it to 10 stages.

(This is not to criticize Felline as a rider, I just think it's ridiculous and irresponsible of Footon to send him)

how the hell did this team make it in, in front of vaconsoliel, who have a tour stage winner and a maillot jaune in their ranks?

yep, liquigas kept sagan out for this very reason, he is a bit young to be riding the "hardest race in the world (tm)" and it could mean a very abrupt end to a career

Manuel Cardoso > you.

Damn straight: the man slotted in at 197th today, getting a good solid start at the Lanterne rouge. And with no less than three riders in the bottom ten, you know today's results are gonna make the haters in this forum take a good, hard look in the mirror.

And the top Footon rider? Arkaitz Duran, with an impressive 99th. Even Phil and Paul didn't see that coming.

Manuel Cardoso must have crashed on those wet roads. Hedwig Kröner told us that she just saw him cross the finish line and that he was bleeding heavily from a head injury. He was, of course, conscious and able to ride, but injured. He is getting medical attention."

Not that funny.

You're right. I didn't know. My apologies for a tasteless joke.

Although what excuse does the rest of the team have?

Aitor Perez Arrieta rode a terrific prologue today, he did a brilliant ride to finish 65th, only 54 secunds behind Cancellara. He was also the best rider from an in form looking Footon Servetto.

Can Arrieta challenge Contador in the mountains after today's performance? Only time will tell.....

Is it just me or are a lot of us going over to the Footon side? I really start to appreciate them, with the exception of their kit

its called cheering for the underdog. I feel sorry for their sponsors (whatever footon and serveto are) for spending so so much on a team even the die hard cyclists dont even see a lot of.

Well, Footon are soles to put in you shoes

Servetto are a company which sells stuff on which you can hang your clothes or that make doors open easier

Really strange sponsors to be honest

They're probably getting really good bang for their buck. If Sky is paying millions to put two in the front group, I would doubt the two Footon/Servetto guys make in a year what Wiggins makes in a month.
