Fox and Sky are completely different entities. News Corp only own 38% of Sky. And the Murdoch family only own 46% of News Corp. So Murdoch only owns about 17% of Sky. But don't let details get in the way of you ill informed rants about how Russell Downing kills arabs - or whatever nonsense you'll come up with next.

Good grief! I am a UK meejah freelancer and dependent on dear old Aunty (ie News Intl enemy No 1) for about 50% of my income - if anyone would want to do a bit of Sky-bashing I should be at the front of the queue.

But even I can see that James Murdoch putting some Sky money into UK cycling is not the same kettle of potatoes as Fox News.

Plus there are now loads of Sky vans going round the UK with huge pics of Queen Victoria on them. black/white, good/bad - the world just isnt like that.

Murdochs Newscorp are a very minor sponsor as far as the team goes, the main sponsors are bskyb and skyitalia.

Sky is a public company, with Newscorp holding a minor shareholding. (ie. less than half), So arguably Murdoch could claim to own 39.1% of bskyb and therefore about 30% of team sky, sadly Murdoch is not the sole owner of newscorp, its a public listed company. So by no stretch of the imagination does Rupert Murdoch own Team Sky

that would be why I have photos from Qatar and Oman showing smiling arabs posing for photos with the Sky Team, photos of young arab kids posing with the Pinarellos, and why they were so popular over there. Ho Hum.

Sky are not fox. Sky have invested massive amounts of money into cycling in this country. Millions of people over the last few weeks have got out on their bikes for Sky Rides. Maybe thats something you should do instead of sitting on your **** griping on here.

Well he's deciding between three teams for next year, one is to stay with Katusha, one must be Australian Fly V but who is the third team? perhaps Sky, perhaps a phantom to keep the other two honest ?_?

I doubt he's faster than any of them at this point, but even if he is, Sky has plenty of sprinters as it is.
