Is there an uglier peddler than Evans?

well mancebo still rides. and escartin would make evans look a bit better. but ya from the current pro peloton he prolly has the worse peddling style.

the worse is when he is riding side by side with people that have an amazing peddling style. evans side by side with contador is like the beauty and the beast

Linus Gerdeman looks like he is annoyed and hate his sport.

But that's really Gerdeman in general isn't it..

It is the most awkward, ugly thing when he gets out of the saddle.

Well, he does have a massive meatball of a head - perhaps it makes it hard to keep in balance.

Escartin is my youth hero because of that peddling style and his grimace; he always suffered in style. That being said, I think Chris Anker Sörensen definitely looks worse than Cadel.

I recall B Kohl looked like death on wheels at l'Alpe a few years back. Also, as someone pointed out earlier this year (tff, maybe?), Tommy V looks like a rabbit ****ing a bicycle when he's out of the saddle.

I don't think Contador is a particularly stylish climber. He's a natural, but I think Schleck (either) is more stylish, even if they aren't born climbers.

An uglier climber than Evans would be CAS.

Going up a climb that's bazillion percent steep tends to make a rider look less stylish.

As for Evans, it is kinda weird how he's hunched over the bike compared to the rest with elbows everywhere. Seems to work him for though.

Beautiful. Watching Contador pedal like that when he's in form is just a joy for the eyes. Especially when he starts dancing on the pedals.

This.

And Voeckler is a stylish on a bike too btw.

All this brings to mind a classic line in Cycling Weekly back in the 80's that said 'Etienne De Wilde, the man with a face only a mother could love'.

But talking of awful styles I'm not too keen on Boassen Hagen's sprinting style, reminds me of Remig Stumpf's - Bl__dy awful.

And for someone who rode so quickly Toni Rominger was a bit knock knee'd.

Poetry in motion award has to be a toss up between Stephen Roche and Erik Breukink. Who remembers the 1991 tour stage 11 TT to Alencon when Breukink was in full flight (2.37 on the vid below - also check out the 1st time check Indurain at 30s after 52K! ) but blew up big time awith a few k's to go? Stunning to watch. Lemond all over the shop but still effective, I imagine he did a couple of kilometres more than anyone else.

I remember being at the 1993 Lac De Madine TT - Indurain came up the big climb like a motorbike.

... but he is effective.

I'd rather be the winner of the Tour in a couple of weeks (and right now I see no reason to believe that he can't be as he is not getting dropped by any of the other and is clearly a better in the ITT) with a pedalling style that some find unnatractive than pedal with flair into any other position on the GC.

I actually quite liked Bernhard Kohl's nodding-dog style. It wasn't as awkward as Escartín or Soler, that's for sure. Paco Mancebo's trying to climb sideways is pretty graceless, and Chris Anker Sørensen's style is pretty grim too, especially accentuated by his gurning with effort.
