Is there any act more tired in this peloton? that of Jens Voigt?

i would take voigt over horner any day, and take voigt AND horner over Bob Troll, I am uncertain if sherwen and troll are worse than death as I am afraid to find out that in fact they are.

the tv camera does something to people sort of like gollum and the ring, some of whom may have been nice a very very long time ago.

we really need to throw the cameras into the fires of mount doom and return to the shire I am afraid. but i digress.

Why do any of you even watch bike racing?

1)To root for trendy riders (most columbian, some italian, a few of the spaniards, very few otherwise)

2)To get high on rage/adrenaline how else can you explain all the people here that complain about such-and-such commentator when the audio commentary options are vast these days.

3)Because you have to watch in order to take glee in injuries and other misfortunes that the wrong kind of riders encounter.

4)Very few CNF posters watch races they are trolls in the purest sense.

Apparently anyone who rode a few years ago is tarnished by association so should apologize even if they were clean lol

He’s not funny at all. And I started to really think he sucks after Hamilton’s book where he talks about how he wouldn’t even say hi to him after his ban.

Adam Hansen is everything that people want Voigt to be.

Oh man, he's even worse. I don't get why the team continue to indulge him when they have like twenty other guys who want to do three week tours.

Jens used to be funny and once upon a time he was a tremendous, selfless domestique. Revisit the 2004 Tour when he dropped out of the break to tow Basso back up to Ullrich, then pulled for Basso again so that he could go for the stage win. Or the 08 Tour, when blew himself up for Sastre, dropping Cunego, Valverde and Vandevelde amongst others, forcing one of the races most decisive selections.

It's a shame that he's nothing but a parody of his old self, doing little but go in breaks and hog TV time. He should have been forced to retire several years ago.

Really? Adam Hansen's not a big winner but he's VERY reliable, both Griepel and Cav tried to take him with them when HTC split, because he's one of THE best baby sitters getting around at the moment and a good rouleur to boot. He's also popular with his teammates and in the peloton in general.

If you look at Hansen's goofy behaviour, it's never for the TV cameras, it's when he's done his job and is off the back, or at the team hotel. If it wasn't for social media you wouldn't even know about it. Completely different from Voeckler and Voigt.

exactly. Just doing his job

well if any of my employees had the same take day in and day out for 14 years I would have fired them 13 years ago.

The once LA Camp Jester now the village fool of the peloton. Is this tour his big audition tape for NBCSports now? Are they grooming him for the old Bobke bit next year?

Attacks? really? The lads know when Jens wants to go and they let him. Opportunist and attention hore...name one meaningful so called attack break that had any lasting GC significance?

They had him in the booth right after a stage and He uses more personal pronouns than a chick at the mall or Tiger Woods.

Put some bells on his hat and make him dance some more NBC. JHkrist its nausea

Only just seen this thread - absolutely brilliant...well said Boeing.

Okay I don't know so much about the personality part for him, I just think they should also take other riders to races.

If I was sponsoring a cycling team and therefore paying the riders' wages and a rider got that much publicity year after year I'd be telling the DS to make damn sure he was on the team and kept doing what he'd been doing

He reminds me of Carlton Kirby, Phil Liggett, Dan Maskell or Sue Barker - they signed a lifetime contract and no matter how much the public loathes them they just wont ****** off.

If he was on any other team I would feel bad for some younger rider who is not getting a chance to prove their worth. Alas, he is on Trek which is maybe the dumbest team in the world tour right now, or so it seems.
