And there's a bit of hypocrisy as well, with him being from the dirty era but somehow forgiven for all that.

myrideissteelerthanyours said:1)To root for trendy riders (most columbian, some italian, a few of the spaniards, very few otherwise)
2)To get high on rage/adrenaline how else can you explain all the people here that complain about such-and-such commentator when the audio commentary options are vast these days.
3)Because you have to watch in order to take glee in injuries and other misfortunes that the wrong kind of riders encounter.
4)Very few CNF posters watch races they are trolls in the purest sense.

ciranda said:Oh man, he's even worse. I don't get why the team continue to indulge him when they have like twenty other guys who want to do three week tours.

Boeing said:The once LA Camp Jester now the village fool of the peloton. Is this tour his big audition tape for NBCSports now? Are they grooming him for the old Bobke bit next year?
Attacks? really? The lads know when Jens wants to go and they let him. Opportunist and attention hore...name one meaningful so called attack break that had any lasting GC significance?
They had him in the booth right after a stage and He uses more personal pronouns than a chick at the mall or Tiger Woods.
Put some bells on his hat and make him dance some more NBC. JHkrist its nausea

Adam Hansen's not a big winner but he's VERY reliable, both Griepel and Cav tried to take him with them when HTC split, because he's one of THE best baby sitters getting around at the moment and a good rouleur to boot. He's also popular with his teammates and in the peloton in general.
If you look at Hansen's goofy behaviour, it's never for the TV cameras, it's when he's done his job and is off the back, or at the team hotel. If it wasn't for social media you wouldn't even know about it. Completely different from Voeckler and Voigt.
