Escape Collective have just launched a new Spanish podcast with Gerardo Medina, Sebastian Miranda and Luis Lemus and they talk a lot about del Toro, if anyone is interested (and understands Spanish). I found it generally pretty good and will definitely look out for the next episode.

He's 21 and sounds coachable. I like this kid.
The federation has bent over backwards for Isaac.
Saturday is the national road race, and literally with local support that he has he can ride from his house to start finish. There are some small climbs( La Gloria, El Tigre) that he knows since childhood. And race goes away from the ocean on climbs and goes on some pretty non descript straight roads coming back. It's an advantage for Baja based racers, this route is used multiple times per year for races. It looks like San Antonio Las Minas is not on..many of the roads that used to be used for races have been left off..with all the expansion in wine country, there are speed bumps and road is getting more and more beat up. If they come out by Zarco and race passed wine museum and wineries it's pretty flat, sometimes windy for @25 k..and then mostly downhill to the water. @40 k laps 4 of them. Nobody will have the depth that Del Toro brings, he can only lose if he wants to.. Same 2 riders with Del Toro in Kigali use these roads for racing and training for years.
Should be fun..
