I dont want to put too high expectations on him if he lines-up. See and learn going into it, but if he has a good race that would be promising for the future.
His positioning would be the biggest issue but other than that his attributes match up well to the race and double Kwaremont this year might help nudge it towards a climber type like him that has real punch.

It’s certainly an obvious race for Del Grosso to do.
Is it? I don't really understand what Del Grosso's strengths are meant to be as a World Tour cyclist. His best results have come in the same sort of sprints where Matt Brennan does well, but he is built like Jack Haig or Thymen Arensman.

Some excited Mexican fans who haven't checked the news yet on the plane over are going to get a shock when they turn up in Belgium and it's just some little white boy in a blue kit.

Humor included, majority of Mexican fans that follow Del Toro follow him on a few social media accounts, a big one in Monterrey, NL the area has a population over @5 million and Isaac's home state of Baja California has a pretty expansive population of @4 million people.. And although he doesn't have much connection with Mexico City that is the undisputed home of the most bike racers..@15 million people in city and surrounding areas..all those people are double, triple checking to make sure Del Toro will be in a race that they are traveling to..
TDF will have Mexican flags and people wearing traditional clothes and old school big sombrero hats..
