I love these italian autumn races, really neat!

If I was a pro, I'd be happy to ride them just for fun on the back of a sucessful season :)

Nearly all Italian pro one day races are fun, those which cone early in the season, too, except probably the biggest of them all.

Quintana is alive, Poels in a one day... Pinot not as good as expected maybe.

Also have the feeling a lot of people took it easy for saturday

Who has the worse style Aru or Dan Martin ....both ride as if they are pounding their way up a hill

Dan Martin looks like a little kid riding a bike 2 sizes too big trying to keep up with his older brother and friends "c'mon guys!!!"

Congrats Rigoberto!!!

Always the same thing with Pinot.

Perform very well, we hype him a lot, then fail, and finally reborn like the Phenix. The same pattern is repeating since 2015. The 2017 Giro was a enbodiment of this rule.

Actually I'm now super confident for Lombardy. :D

Uran is so underrated in one day races
I don't think so. Not so long ago there was a lot of talk in the forum that he should focus on 1-day races because he has some great showings in Liege, Lombardia and the Olympics.

Gaudu, what a talent. Was in the attack before and then followed yet another attack. Probably went a bit too much in the red by trying to follow Uran, but still managed to get fifth.

Aru stronger than expected tbh. If he manages to hang onto Nibali on Saturday and follows him on the downhill, there's a chance he might beat him in a sprint.

Martinez was 7th, also a great result.

A brief summary of the race:

Alaphilippe went too early.
Yates went too late.
Quintana went much too late.
Aru went fast-slow-fast-slow-bump-slow-fast-slow
Uran went just right.

With 2nd on GC plus a stage win in the Tour this year, if he gets a good result on Saturday you'd have to say he's well able to have his cake and eat it.

I wouldn't be surprised if QS back Alaphilippe on Saturday, as he early has the better form than Martin.

Yeah, and if Uran, Pinot and Yates aren't there with them, he might get a win :p
