PMG Sports is showing a video starting 17:00 on their Facebook page. Since the race should've finished by then, it is probably only highlights.

The relatively unknown Zamparella outsprints Ulissi, Bernal and Cattaneo. That's a surprise.

He was in the early break, so I guess Ulissi/Bernal/Cattaneo picked him up after the hill zone, and he sat on the wheel and outsprinted them (which was the right tactic for him of course).

Did the Androni duo attack Ulissi in the end? That might have drained some energy from the trio as well.

Both Ulissi and Zamparella weren't taking turns. Ony the Androni held off the peloton.

What were Ulissi and Zamparella talking about? Money?

zamparella works as a pizzaiolo, i doubt that he could have made a big offer to diego
It could be his team's money or a favor from Ulissi. Zamparella was for sure not asking how many circuits they still had to do, three times.

It was a strange race. Bernal and Cattaneo not riding to win the race, but instead riding for the Ciclismo Cup points; i.e. a Giro wild card. Ulissi not cooperating in front, the other azzurri not working in the back to get a sprint. And a pizza boy outsmarting them all.

The Giro dell'Emilia will be very hard this year. For the 100th edition, the mileage will be increased to 223km. But the number of San Luca ascension will be the same, 5.

Hope Gaudu will be in better form than these last weeks, I want to see this first Gaudu-Bernal show !!
