Same as me. Not 30 years ago, but I started Athletics at my school in 2007 (with 12 years) and it was a pretty common thing to do. Unless cycling used to do archaic training methods.

In a long break, you don't necessarily get the best climber prevailing. Same as a sprint at the end of a hard race.

tbf it he rest of the peloton had followed them the peloton would have been down 40 secs instead of 1m30 with 20km to go
