That's not what they said though. They said he shouldn't have told them he didn't care about the win this early in the stage. Why not? it was clearly they wouldn't have done any work unless the chase comes down to 20s. Roglic's main concern is not to crack on Arrate. He is tired, Gaudu/Carthy would already have the 1st chance on Arrate.
They won't crack, and if they slow down, Rogla will pull (not attack) on the climb. No biggie.Because the other 2 would then look at eachother. And if they both crack, roglic will have to go for the stage anyway
He already knew he was too close to the limit. He wouldn't have done that if the attack wouldn't have been so early. And we see Roglic tired, good decision imo. That's not what they said though. They said he shouldn't have told them he didn't care about the win this early in the stage.
They are either dead or not thinking they can get the stage win anywayThe chasing group can get a lot more out of this, but not enough commitment there.
I hope UAE has some good talks about the strategy today . At least they have some time to learn from this. they will need it.So now Voigt, too, says it was a mistake to take the yellow jersey... but would they have been closer to the front/ Roglic in the descent... and not sent Hirschi away... and most of all not let Pogacar work for McNulty... things might have looked very different in my opinion.
I'm not debating either way, just saying what they actually said.He already knew he was too close to the limit. He wouldn't have done that if the attack wouldn't have been so early. And we see Roglic tired, good decision imo.
It's often strategically simpler in GTs when the stakes are higher.I hope UAE has some good talks about the strategy today . At least they have some time to learn from this. they will need it.

These guys were the only ones strong enough to follow Roglic on the climb. It's more important for Roglic himself to not crack. They will most likely attack, not crack. If Roglic can't follow, he would be much more in trouble.Because the other 2 would then look at eachother. And if they both crack, roglic will have to go for the stage anyway
Yeah i forgot Vinegaard. He does a good job today !Or has the excuse of having their captain out front.
