QS for Liege are Remco, Ala, Devenyns, Serry, Bagioli and Vansevenant. The last spot, IMHO, should go to Masnada - at least to reward his performance of Lombardia 2021, where he saved QS‘s day.

Agreed. Looks like he will race Romandie like last year where he got 3rd Overall. I wish he did Liege before. Maybe the team lets him.

Trouble is fausto is not a numbers mutant like Remco or WVA. Its the passion he has for racing which brings out his best. So don't know if the team needs to look at his numbers to decide what to do. It would be a shame.

Quickstep with Fausto and Alaphilippe have some card to play in Liege. Bagiolo also. Vansevenont and Sery will be strong domestique. Remco should be in Romande

LS just doesn't like him because apparently he never makes an effort, yet destroys all races he is part of. And since she excels at being exaggerative of something she feels passionately about, her hatred of Kuss has entered CN forum lore.

He said something very stupid in an interview to justify one of the worst stages in living memory, about how it isn't worth riding unless the finish is at the top of the steepest climb. Which would be silly enough but forgettable, but then Jumbo used him for two years like they actually believed that to be the case, so all he was was an obstruction to racing. Toby talks of him destroying all races he is part of, but usually when he's put in as a domestique he just sits in the train but never actually goes to the front, just serving as a deterrent to anybody else from attacking, so the only way he destroys a race is by not being allowed by his team to make it interesting, but preventing anybody else from making it interesting either.

He's a completely different beast when separated from Rogla, but because in the highest profile races he's always part of Rogla's entourage, in the biggest races we tend to get Sepp Kuss, enemy of spectacle, friend of the 15-man group ride on any given mountain.
