I would love for Remco to win a stage like today against these guys, but he needs better timing and strategy for his attacks. So far they look a bit silly.
He was for Ala and his attacks were just a divisive tactic, unless he actully got a gap, but that didn't happen.

Yes, but so is how Simon Gerrans raced. It was his choice of tactics and it worked often enough for him to justify continuing to use that tactic, but it didn't mean we had to like it and couldn't rejoice when those tactics failed.

My primary problem is that you must state your opinion regarding him as an irrefutable fact.

This was a very dangerous day for GC, actually, i.e. Jonas did a great job chasing down potential splits, as did Roglic himself (who also pulled & kept up the speed of the group to prevent attacks).

It's always a hazardous scenario when the GC leader could find himself having to pull a group on the flat against several guys working together ahead, so in that respect TJV did good work today.

We'll find out more in the coming days regarding how good the legs are when it really matters.

Roglic did a lot of loitering in the back today, I think having Vingegaard there proved to be a saving grace. Vingegaard looked super strong, he could just follow anything.

Roglić didn't really look that good today. Alaphilippe looked strong again but Bilbao was incredible after attacking several times still managed to beat him in the sprint

Adam Yates' attacks are so innocuous that Roglic leaving gaps can still be played down to poor positioning cause Yates wasn't dropping anyone and it was too crowded for Roglic.
