Given the description (above in this thread) of the up and down very narrow roads of the last 10km that will help the break even more.

None of the actually-decent teams wanted to be in the breakaway, none of them wanted to pull back the breakaway, and it's not like all of them have a strong GC option to look after. UAE and AG2R should have been all over this stage, and maybe QS too.

I don't think the breaks make it. They will loose a lot at the small hill.

2 minutes with 13k to go. They have to make up 10s/km, that's a lot. Doable against a solo rider no doubt but 4 guys? And I don't see heavy sprint trains invested in this either.

I also complain when it's the Vuelta, which is easily the worst GT for this kind of garbage.

Would be particularly bad if the break fails to make it against a peloton that hasn't even bothered to mount a half-decent chase.
