Landa entertaining the crowds. I could understand it if Bilbao were still there, but I'm not sure what he expects now.

Finest display of Landismo I've seen in a while.
It's sad that the finest display of Landismo in a while is a stupid attack that nobody in the peloton cared about. That's why he's become a meme rider. But thumbs up for trying, I guess. At least he is pretty consistent when on form, always around places around 5th in the GC.

This is going to end up being a 30-man descending shootout, which is bound to end well and not result in any crashes whatsoever

It will be more than 30 riders. What's worse is that the 2.5 kilometres before the descent are practically flat, so the peloton won't be strung out going into it.

Has anybody actually dropped on this climb? I worry this will be the most crash-heavy finale of a week that also contains Scheldeprijs.

You’re right, I thought the peloton was a lot smaller for some reason. It’s like they’re trying to cause carnage with this finish

Glad nobody crashed (as far as we could see). Schelling won the sprint for the roundabout and with it the stage, rather similar to Van den Berg's win in Mallorca at the start of the year.
