What a weird finale. Apart from that this edition appears to turn out as a real letdown compared to usually.
A finale in descent. Not sure is that is a good thing. Having said that, Dani Martinez showing off his descending skills once again. What a pity. Aranburu was probably stopped because was causing a gap to Mas. But could have gone for the stage.
Mas, Buchmann, Schmid and Chaves among those losing 11 seconds. Martinez had a mechanical and will have lost a lot more, GC may be out of the window for Ineos.
Hopefully this means Ineos will ride aggressively and make the race more entertainingMartinez lost 30 seconds and finished on Plapps bike. Will be hard for him now to win it, but a good GC is not over yet.
Riders were not happy about the finish:Soler crashed on that final descent and out. Thats a shame, would have reckoned he would have challenged for the GC.

You know profile and attack uphill and ride downhill alone, not like tourist ride uphill and crying about dangerous finish.
Cavagna did have a moan about the finish in his pre race interview.Would help if riders complained before rather than look at profiles the evening before.
Seems like Ineos really messed up having Hayter work on the front mid stage when he could have survived the climbs at the rate the peloton ride them and could have had a second stage win in succession.
