Obnoxious ETB, always criticising any route. Why can't they just be happy that all the stars are here, don't they know that it's the riders who make the race?!
those guys are not from ETB, it's the same interview team as for Tirreno, for example

That's my fault for causing the confusion, because ETB provide the pictures and have been critical of the route, and I was talking about the interviews assuming they were part of the package.

Look on the bright side, we will get three or four totally random sprint victories.

What a great ride from Roglic, hats off. There were many doubts in people's mind, and hopefully he's put them to rest.

yeah, I wanted to quote both of you, but yours disappeared when switching pages, and then I was too lazy to do it again ;).

I also don't know how it works exactly with the interviews, but these guys seem to do it when the French guy is not around. I think the company is Velopro and they then sell them to the TV stations

Sprints at Itzulia are always random but seldom can be described as a "bright side" for anybody except the riders who win them.

The good news is that because nobody ever takes a proper sprint train to País Vasco for the same reason nobody sent a full mountain train to the Tour of Qatar, it does open up opportunities for people that wouldn't usually have one.

Leintz-Gatzaga should be ok, but likely the Amorebieta stage is a bit meh, and so obviously it's basically a one-stage shootout in Eibar.

ITTs are weird sometimes.
We're basically acting like the stage is over - because it essentially is - but actually... there are still riders out there.

Meanwhile, Thomas Bay has started quizzing Jesper Worre on his (very limited) knowledge of the Basque language.

We literally act like the stage is over while there are still riders out there on 99% of road stages though?

Next few days will be beautiful... Braet v Aranbaru v Hayter v Oldani v Bagioli v Liepins v Aular, maybe Remco and Roglic going for bonuses too...

I will be there no matter what

Like a bike race underwater

'You bring your slowest rider that we can plausibly categorize as 'sprinter' and we shall bring ours'

If I was a randomer I'd completely empty myself the first few minutes to give the top riders a real fright, 'wow what the **** Peter Serry 10 seconds up on Roglic', get in his head a bit.

Like Rick 'KOM' Zabel did in that one Giro stage.
