Missed the race. Who was doing the leadout for Ineos, Laurance?

In theory, they have a great sprint train with guys like Turner and Tarling not having much on the Ineos schedule for a while after Sunday. Really didn't think Ewan would start benefitting from it so quickly.

Laurance got up to the front late and couldn‘t do a leadout anymore, I think it was Heiduk riding before that.

Looks like last time they did tomorrow's finish was 2009?! Can't find full coverage, unfortunately, but here are some highlights at least:

" In the closing moments of the race, the stars attacked. Damiano Cunego (Lampre), Joaquim Rodriguez (Caisse d'Epargne), Samuel Sanchez (Euskaltel-Euskadi) and Alberto Contador (Astana) were the first to reach the final mountain classification of the day, on the Alto de Lazkaomendi. On the descent, Sanchez tried to distance himself from the lead group, but he was not able to escape. As a result, the fans in Ataun saw a group of 21 riders in a sprint for first in which Luis Leon Sanchez emerged victorious. "

(in the end, they went south to Ataun for an additional 2k of flat back then, but the climb+descent was the same)

Nys is my pick for tomorrow.
If the big boys want to, they can try to drop him 35km from the finish. If they can't or won't, then it's hard to see who would be able to beat him that is able to survive that climb. Alaphilippe, Schachmann... they should be slower atm. He will do his best to survive not only because it would mean he gets a shot at the stage, but also because it would be a good test for FW. The climb closer to the finish is less steep and shorter, if they couldn't drop him on the penultimate climb, i doubt they'll be able to drop him so close to the finish.

it's short, but not less steep. The final climb is basically 800m at 15% + some false flat. The average numbers are misleading

The max steepness isn't the issue for him i think, just that it can't be too long (compared to punchy climbers). So the average over that length is less steep. It being steeper for 800m isn't an issue imho.
I would say it's still a little bit harder than ideal for him, especially with the previous climb in the legs, but this is definitely the kind of stage where you can be 10-15 seconds back at the KOM, latch back on because the 3 or 4 riders ahead of you aren't working together and then win the sprint.
