maybe they did in the daily communique. It's not publicly available for this race, as far as I can see.I don't agree with the DSQ. Fix the roadbook first. Especially for someone that is from the region.

Good call! It‘s a good chance for Aranburu today
(If Vingegaard was there). "What a rider, monster performance from a fantastic GC rider"Real day of ciclismo without any boring alien to ruin the fun.
Had the same thought watching his tongue hanging outMax Schachmann looks like Voeckler on there
You can quote actual posts I've made rather than a hallucination.(If Vingegaard was there). "What a rider, monster performance from a fantastic GC rider"
"The same rules shouldn't apply to everyone."Especially for someone that is from the region.
Whoever manages to beat him in GC, will have been playing 47.8724D chess for sure.Almeida's playing 7D chess by effing up that first roundabout.
If Almeida now wins this by one second...The stupidity of the bonus system illustrated by Schachmann hoping he stays 3rd rather than being promoted to 2nd
Do kids get out half day on Wednesday? Or is that France? Someone give us information!! The children are our future!! In Michigan they let you out of school for deer hunting!!!they let the kids out of school to go cheer the race . . .nice
It would be great! If Almeida now wins this by one second...
Thismaybe they did in the daily communique. It's not publicly available for this race, as far as I can see.
Great point. The natural route through that roundabout was on the right side, and Aranbu may have been familiar with that spot. Too badWhy the hell was one side of that roundabout blocked off in the first place? Riders were always gonna reach that point in small groups or solo. Also the illegal side was anything but properly blocked off on the road. Plenty of room to go through for a rider arriving solo.
Relegation was inevitable as things stand, but I cannot say I'm happy. A completely unnecessary forced deviation in an already very technical and selective finale caused pointless confusion and robbed home rider of possible stage win.
It would be the result of ridiculous rules whereby the bonus differential between 3rd and 4th is greater than that between 2nd and 3rd.It would be great!
I assumed they were in school but let them out to to see the race go by. They were lining the fence on what looked like a schoolyard all wearing the same uniform.Do kids get out half day on Wednesday? Or is that France? Someone give us information!! No for sure it looks fun for kids!! They come out and see something fun. Lots of younger kids in France don't have school on Wednesdays.. I don't know about Spain and certainly don't know region by region.I assumed they were in school but let them out to to see the race go by. They were lining the fence on what looked like a schoolyard all wearing the same uniform.
Great question! In Basque, the phrase "kanporatua izan da" literally means "has been expelled" or "has been eliminated". Its exact meaning can vary a bit depending on context, especially in sports.
In cycling or competitive sports contexts, "kanporatua" usually means:
So in your sentence, "Alex Aranburu kanporatua izan da" almost certainly means he was disqualified or removed from the race, not just relegated to a lower position or sanctioned with a penalty. It suggests he's no longer allowed to compete in that event due to the UCI judges' decision.
- Disqualified
- Eliminated
- Barred from continuing in the competition
If the intent were just a sanction or a relegation (like losing time or being moved down in classification), the Basque would likely be more specific (e.g., "zigortua izan da" for "sanctioned").
So yes, in this context, "kanporatua izan da" does necessarily imply he was barred from the race.
Inconsistent, yes. But two wrongs don't make a right.Interesting contrast with Stage 1 of Algarve, where first across the line who had ridden the official route was not given the win.
Once again, utter inconsistency, so riders don't know whether it is worth following rules or not.
I don't really understand why the price of plastic caution tape or temporary use of trucks or bales of hay aren't used to cordon off any road or path that could be confused with pre determined race routes..Interesting contrast with Stage 1 of Algarve, where first across the line who had ridden the official route was not given the win.
Once again, utter inconsistency, so riders don't know whether it is worth following rules or not.
Have you seen Vingegaard this year?(If Vingegaard was there). "What a rider, monster performance from a fantastic GC rider"
Wow? How long ago was that a thing?Let them race the final 2k again like in the olden days!
