I actually think this might open up the race. There was the risk that if everyone was too close together it'd become more defensive turn into Del Toro stomp territory, and now everyone will have to work very hard to make up time on Seixas and will probably back themselves to do it.

Potentially, but Del Toro and Ayuso doing so badly means that Lipowitz will have a bit more freedom as UAE/Lidl won't be as keen to control the race. Though you're right that it depends on internal politics
