So despite a disasterous 2nd stage where he loses over 4 minutes, THJ manages to come back through 3 days in the breakaway along with strong work from the team, to actually manage to finish on the podium.

You can call it luck or you can call it shrewd team tactics. It was not a coincidence that they sat with 5 riders in this breakaway. They had a plan and they executed it.

UnoX today was far from luck. They rode a very smart stage, riding low tempo on the climbs to preserve their riders for the long flat stretch.

I think other teams in the peloton would have just burned their riders on the climbs in the same situation and not have gained so much in the end.

Another very young race winner. Please, cancel the young riders' competition in all races (or at least reduce it to an under 20 contest). If you're against having less competitions with jerseys, introduce a seasoned rider's competition (and I'm not even kidding).

Maybe I would have liked a more competitive race, but Seixas did put on a show. Not at the level of the aliens yet, but he is only 19. The mentality is definitively there.
