My bet is into Frank and Bruyneel having some arguing.
I dont see Frank riding Giro happening.

Didn't Hamilton leave for Phonak for the same reason?

No Hamiltons main reason for leaving was the shared leadership with Sastre. The day Riis stayed with Sastre who went for the stage win (and won) instead os staying with Hamilton who was strugglinh but higher in the GC really ****ed of Hamilton (I rember some documentary showing that btw)

I remember he stayed with the team because a promise of Giro leadership from Johan.

Bruyneel had a big problem with TTs at the Tour and he needs to send a solid card to Italy. The victim is Jakob who never was important for Bruyneel since the beginning.

Once Kim Andersen is not the sport head... the reason for exodus "the unique team spirit" is gone. Johan don't negociate and has his own trust riders (Kloden and Horner). Even Frank is being displaced at he end. The first step is go to Italy and not peak for the Tour.

As some forumers told is quite possible Bjarne lock his team to traitors.

Correct. He was promised Giro leadership to stay at Leopard.

He was talking to Riis but he only has himself to blame. It's fairly obvious he saw "things" at the training camp which were part of the old way.

If you're part of Hogs inner team you're safe. But if you don't want to play the game then you don't get a ride.

at least the situation now at radioshack is the best what could happen for fuglsang. the schleck's will definetly be full focused on the tour, even if frank attends in italy he won't be on full power there. and so does klöden and horner who will be co leaders and super-domestiques for the schlecks in france in place of jakob.

that could rule out fuglsang for getting a spot at the shack's tour team, but i think this situation is quite good for him. there's no need for him to safe energie in italy for the tdf as radioshack has enough other riders to help the schlecks at the tour. if fuglsang would be safety to have a domestique spot in france that would be wasted talent in my opinion. now he has to peak the giro. it starts in denmark and he would be on top level there (without having another gt in his legs like in spain last season), because he has got the pressure to perform well and show his bests to get a ticket to france. after a podium in italy, what might be realistic, i think he will just see it the same way as me. radioshack-nissan still has got enough good helpers in it's rooster to helb jakob in italy!

horner will be in california at the same time and will focus at the us pro cycling challenge and maybe will get the chance to become fränk's co-leader at the vuelta after the tour. klöden will concentrade to ride a solid tour in serve of the schlecks and will maybe also go to spain or italy. he hasn't got the hunger anymore to lead a team, so he's the better choice to be the assistant in france than fuglsang

in conclusion i would say not beeing safety of a tour spot is an unique chance for fuglsang to confirm his early promises as a grand tour contender in italy. otherwise he would just decide to be the donkey at the tour.

if he can't confirm being a grand tour rider he should leave to a team like it4i next year to become their leader at the classics.

Yes, their Giro team will still be good.

Kloden will likely co-lead the team, though, and not for stage wins.

he hasn't got the hunger anymore to lead a team

He does just fine as a co-leader. He won a major stage race last year and finished 2nd in another. Motivation isn't the issue here.

His climbing abilities are a bit of a question mark at this stage of his career, but less so than Fuglsang's.

Come on, probably some Italian journalist asked Bruyneel about Fränk in the Giro and Johan didn't want to disappoint him. Fränk will be in the Tour, and that has always been the plan.
Not necessarily, the schlecks themselves have been asked numerous times about possibility of going to giro+tour obviously (not only by italians) and have never denied it and even accounted it as a possibility + It does make sense (though i'm not saying that the schlecks always listen to sense) as Andy is the better climber (& younger + slightly better at TT) and if Andy can't gain enough time in mountains then they have Kloden to fall back on+ Frank just seems to inhibit andy+ a trio of even quad of leaders certainly doesn't make for succesful tour in most cases (as johan knows)
Yet if Frank does go to the giro then Fuglsang will surely not be very happy at all and then may very be a falling out

That can't be right. He wants Andy to be 100 percent for the Tour (fact), and, presumably, Chris to be 100 percent for the Tour of Cali, and, ideally, with Tour leadership issues in mind, Andreas and Frank to be 100 percent for the Giro.

The only big problem seems to be Frank Schleck.

Was there another article released since the one that prompted this thread? I ask because I don't recall Bruyneel being so firm his statements regarding Kloden and Frank. I thought it was simply one of many options that he was considering.
