Jenkin Road 33% - really?

Saw this in person yesterday. They were hanging around at the back of a grupetto with some pretty knackered riders. Seemed a bit harsh to the other guys, but the crowds loved it

No, the slope was 25% but then the city council sprayed a load of EPO on the slope to elevate it to over 50% Luckily the UCI has close connections to British cycling and so they could intervene and recently stipulated that no UCI slope could be >33%. Thankfully members of the 'twamous' groups of influential Clinic posters have indeed supported a <33% gradient for Jenkin Road. (They didn't actually measure, but instead used their greater gift).

Phew! We are safe! Hurrah!
