Tadej hardly needed Almeida last year. But this year it seems he can't do anything without him 🤣

I just checked my Facebook and had a notification "Joao Almeida likes your status". I be like "don't try to fool me with fake Facebook accounts". In this case it was a fake fan page.

I guess it's the same principle as a twitter sex bot. They always like tweets to attract attention.

I find this very creepy. I'm not even part of any real fanclub yet a bot knew my habits. I wonder who these bots fools. 🤔

He does as he's told. But if it was all about Pog why would he comment on his own performance in every interview? He did it today again. I think they've possibly promised him to go for a stage.
He was asked about his own performance at least by Hannah Walker for TNT.

So far, Wellens, Narvaez and Joao are performing like a well-oiled machine for Pogi at this point of the Tour. Anticipating the HC and Cat 1 climbs, we'll see the battle among the lieutenants in setting up their captains. This is where Joao could double up as domestic de luxe and a GC option B.

If Yates is in shape, he should be able to finish in top 5, maybe even podium. Without Yates to help, he will have to work to much I think.

I’m even thinking he could end up 2nd in GC if he can hold his level for 3 weeks, even with the time lost already. Seeing him win a stage where he’s dropped everyone but Pogi and they cruise together.
No. Nowhere near the level of Vingegaard.

Yeah so a GT win is his next goal. Now he has said it out loud lol.
So now we know why he said it out loud on monday... it's because he knew Pogacar would lead UAE on the Vuelta too.

I suppose Pogacar will want to win Giro+Tour+Vuelta next year (he'll be 27-28). He is in his prime and you never know when the window closes.

Almeida is in a tough spot. Too strong to be a domestique, but has to be one in favour of his team mate (who is only the best rider in the world).

He looked very exhausted today. It's the worst day I've seen him this year.

Luckily for him, no one tried on the penultimate climb.

He could have been seriously hurt, but no one attacked.
