Can you tell the news he said about Vingegaard? It's not possible to select other language.
Their alternative and decent: Kuss and Jorgensen for GC and Wout as a stage hunter. So we can laugh about how he can't climb!
Seriously though, if he's fully recovered (healed) they can send him, even if his form is not there yet. They don't really have alternatives anyway. I doubt they think Kuss can win the Tour. See how it goes, if GC is not an option, he can go for stages or he can just ride it to get into form.

dude can't even breathe properly yet ffs... he needs to heal and get ready for VueltaFor comparison, for those pessimists that said there is no comparison betwen the injuries Jonas sustained and the time off bike with regards to Pogačar in 2023.
Pogačar first time outside on the bike was 19. May and he couldn't stand on the pedals till June (we don't know if Jonas can stand on pedals yet, but I imagine that a wrist injury is more complicated with regards to this).
Now I imagine Jonas might have missed more aerobic training because of lung and ribs injury, but with a solid base already there, that can hopefully be regained with little consequences.
So things are again looking up for one of the most competitive Tour starts in a long time.
dude can't even breathe properly yet ffs... he needs to heal and get ready for Vuelta
I don't believe they are taking risks with him. If he goes to the Tour that's because they know he can be there healthy and in good shape.dude can't even breathe properly yet ffs... he needs to heal and get ready for Vuelta
The Tour will be decided in the last week, it's very backloaded. If he starts the Tour in good shape, and he is able to improve in the first 2 weeks and peak in the last week, then it could even be very beneficial for him.To me it just seems like they're gonna try to get him in a good but not perfect shape and just see what happens. Vingegaard is obviously motivated. If he's not good enough then there's La Vuelta. And I only think they'll take him out if he gets worse during the race.
Tactically analysis might not be the forte of the cycling Dane, but I totally agree it's better to focus on 2025.Everyone is like can he get back to his best? But hear this, what if he comes back even stronger!

I'm not paying for access to that paper, but the first part is just more of the same "it's too early to tell"![]()
Træner løfter sløret: Sådan er Vingegaards vej tilbage
Tim Heemskerk følger Jonas Vingegaards vej tilbage mod topformen fra tætteste hold. Her giver han et indblik i processenekstrabladet.dk
@Mlarsen it would be interesting to see what the coach of Vingegaard said in this article.
You're confusing recovery from the aerobic and anaerobic efforts with recovery from sustained physical damages. Can he recover from cancer too? This dude is extraordinary, he recovers like nobody and that is the reason why he is a two time Tour de France winner. If someone is able to get this setback and comeback in a record time, that man is the fisherman! I still don't see him winning the Tour but Vuelta is very possible.
Well, you'll have to ask Lance that. You're confusing recovery from the aerobic and anaerobic efforts with recovery from sustained physical damages. Can he recover from cancer too?
I also sometimes drive past him in a car on the island of Mors when he is training in Denmark, but have not seen him yet in connection with his rehabilitation. Glad to hear he's doing wellLiterally just drove past Jonas yesterday while he was on a training ride alone, he still looks in pretty damn good shape! He will win again this year.
To be able to do that, you need a very solid base. Not sure, if he can manage to get a very solid base until end of June, given the circumstances. Exactely that was Pogi's problem last year (at least one of his problems). The Tour will be decided in the last week, it's very backloaded. If he starts the Tour in good shape, and he is able to improve in the first 2 weeks and peak in the last week, then it could even be very beneficial for him.
