Such a shame that it wouldnt be a schedule of Vuelta, Worlds and Lombardia. San Sebastian is a nice race, but who the *** cares about Tour of Poland?

We'll see what kind of shape he shows up in, but after his meltdown in Poland five years ago, he might still want to win the race.

Haha wait? Did I miss this? Was it gravel stage?

So Pogacar just not only manhandled Vingegaard on the road he also did it publicly in media?
Poor guy even Evenpoel aswell. Talk about getting put in your place.

I can't believe that Jonas would go to Tour of Pologne instead of Vuelta. Come on Ving, go crush Rogla and the peasants in Spain!

He knows the winter is coming, oh sorry Pog lmao

That's why he will avoid the Vuelta, afraid to get spanked again.

It does seem like a missed opportunity to skip the Vuelta.

Normally he'd win with one leg, i.e. judging by his performance in the Tour.

Really? Tour of freaking Poland? Thats not a race that you really regret not having won, but I guess its the only race that makes sense when she's expecting when the Vuelta rolls around.

He could also ride in Denmark that week, but the route in Poland obviously suits him better.

I think Vinge and Pog have always enjoyed mutual respect - no animosity. Since the Tour finished I note some gracious posts towards Pog’s victory on X from Visma - example above from @Lequack. That is refreshing after the team seemed overly confident that Pog would crack on PdB. That confidence was in turn a continuation of what the team believed after what had worked against Pogacar in 2022 and 2023.

But clearly Visma underestimated Pogacar’s potential level this year after what was a soft Giro and similarly over estimated Vingegaard’s abilities so soon after he was recovering from his Tour of Basque Country injuries suffered on April 4. Jonas didn’t fail, his performance was quite heroic knowing what he was coming back from.

Bring on 2025 for the next rematch.

Oh heck. Was he a late entry? I hadn’t seen it discussed before. Makes the race a lottle more interesting

San Sebastián and Tour de Pologne were the races he would definitely ride, according to an interview he did after the last stage in Nice.

Indeed he said it himself but PCS took him off the start list cause he wasnt on the provisional from the organization, but that provisional was just really outdated (from somewhere before the Tour).
