Was he faking the whole Tour? This performance doesn't match from what he shown in the first two weeks. Even his TT in the Dauphiné where he was beaten by Bjerg.
No, he wasn't. Just like Pogacar wasn't faking on the last mountain stage before the TT in 2020. But I think he was being cautious on Saturday and Sunday, I feel he could have taken a couple of seconds there.

Jonas, son of Thanos, after snapping his fingers to eliminate all opponents in the TDF. 2023, colorized.

There is no way Vingegaard wins without double leader tactics together with Roglic. He is worse at TTing and sprinting for bonus seconds.

Pogacar has a better team around him this year and if UAE doesnt have bad luck with covid like last year I see no realistic way for Vingegaard to win.
Hmm, not sure I agree with this.

Sorry, couldn't resist , given my predictions tend to work out like this too :D
Tour isn't over yet, I guess, Pogi is going to have to try something crazy.

Vingo taking 2 seconds already in the first corner on Pogi was a good indicator for what to come. It looked like Vingo was on another level taking lines and corners throughout the stage. The way he attacked the downhill compared to Pogacar was also eye catching.

There were obviously a big difference in the genereal power output, but I'd like to know how much Vingo won on his technical qualities and staying on his TT bike. Even Yates did a better climb than Pogi.

Chapeau, Jonas!

Yates was faster by 1 second between T2 and T3. If you take into account the entire climb (T2 - finish), Yates was 31 seconds slower.

Like Froome, he should from now on aim for Tour-Vuelta.
If he wins this tour, he needs to focus just in winning the third tour, and then if he wins the third tour, he needs to just focus on winning the fourth tour. He has the abilities and the opportunity to put his name with merckx, anquetil, indurain as riders in history with 5 tours.

He has time latter in his career, to win the giro ans vuelta. He is young.
